Today gold is only about 60% higher, after 12+ years (dismal, below 5% CAGR)
- You would never have bought Bitcoin, back when it was trading at $1, $10, $100, $1000, or even $10000
Oh and here’s the best part. When you buy silver and gold and try to pawn them / sell, the dealer ALWAYS charges rip off fees. ALWAYs.
Literally, almost every investment class has performed better than Silver since 2009![]()

Meanwhile brokerages have ELIMINATED commissions for regular stock purchases, they charge about 5 cents for an options trade which the normies don’t use / don’t know how to properly use so it doesn’t matter to them

Look, I think the system is going to collapse as well, I’m just NOT RETARDED ENOUGH TO DENY A 10+ LONG BULL MARKET IN EVERYTHING (EXCEPT SHINY METALS, THE ONE THING THEY TOLD YOU TO STACK AND YET HAS GONE NOWHERE / PERFORMED POORLY)
I bought most of my silver back in 2020 most below $15/oz. I didn’t buy it to sell back to a dealer, I bought it more as a doomsday currency, I gotta a little Bitcoin too. When SHTF and my paper money and stocks are worthless, at least I have something I can throw in my go bag and hopefully survive. Might be silly but it gives me a little piece of mind.LowIQTrash » 08 Aug 2024, 3:12 pm » wrote: ↑ If you listened to ZH:

I’m also heavily invested in copper, brass, lead and nitrocellulose.
I’m pissed because…I’ve been hearing this for YEARS.DeezerShoove » 08 Aug 2024, 8:20 pm » wrote: ↑ I have a small percentage of metals stuck in a nook at home. What stopped me from ever taking any of it seriously was a gold dealer telling me that if the price o' gold hit some peak, he'd close shop for a week or two. Going on vacation in Las Vegas for 2 weeks would be cheaper than staying open.
A former boss of mine, not an unintelligent person, actually gave up contributing to a 401k that included matching funds. He instead bought silver by the wagonload. He became cash poor, so heavily invested in silver that way.LowIQTrash » 09 Aug 2024, 10:07 pm » wrote: ↑ I’m pissed because…I’ve been hearing this for YEARS.
“Silver is going to $100!”
I did happen to profit off the move to $30…except it could not even keep $30. So I bought back in at least 4x and every time it went lower, so I threw in the towel about a month ago.
And this is my vengeance thread lashing out at all the morons who are True Believers (TM)
