i, like others, have social media which i scroll through during the day. i cannot help but notice that everyone is rich. every single content creator has nice things and they live in a penthouse high up in the downtown area, they've got nice clothes, nice shoes and nice cars.

 how are they so rich? why is almost everyone so rich nowadays. i don't understand at all. is money just being handed out somewhere? is it some kinda tax loophole?
 

 

I own a water sports rental company,

I rent out kayaks, canoes, jet skis, etc. A lot of those influencers pay me to rent a jet ski or a kayak for an hour, they take pics sitting on the jet ski/kayak, don't actually ride it, and then return it to me. I'm always happy to have them, especially for jet ski rentals, they raise my profits, since they aren't using as much gas as an actual rider.

 I've seen their posts on Insta and TikTok and they usually make it seem like it's their jet ski or kayak. I don't really mind to be honest. It's actually free publicity because my kayaks and canoes have my company name on the sides.

 this cottage industry is quite fascinating... I presume it's like pro sports...most don't make it to the big league and remain minor leaguers (lo-IQ)...of those who make it, only a few are really successful, of whom everyone wants to emulate...

on the flip side, there are those who worship these people like a god, flitting about looking for the next "SQUIRREL!" (lo-IQ)

If there's a product involved, companies grab a piece...then of course, there's the platform, these are the real winners...

the best part is no one has to work...just fun and games...

Sometimes I either admit I don't care or that I don't know enough to further the conversation.
That said, I really don't follow any "influencers" in any way. I don't know how they got influency.

It can get worse, there are also politicians as social media "influencers".. and it's clearly working..

people are like lemmings allowing themselves to be swayed by someone's "opinion"...it's like who died and made them important? 

besides, opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one and most don't pass the sniff test...
