Georgia voter roll audit finds only 20 noncitizens out of 8 million registered voters A comprehensive audit of Georgia's voter rolls found that just 20 noncitizens were registered to vote on a registration list of over 8 million, according to an announcement Wednesday from Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.
All 20 of those registrations have been canceled and referred to the authorities for investigation and potential prosecution, Raffensperger said.An additional 156 registrations were flagged for a "human investigation" that is now underway.
"Georgia has the cleanest voter list in the entire country," Raffensperger, a Republican, said of the audit. "Georgia can trust in their elections."

Jury in Federal Court Awards Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss $148,169,000 in Damages
Washington, D.C. – Today, a jury awarded Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea’ ArShaye (“Shaye”) Moss just over $148M in compensatory and punitive damages from Rudy Giuliani.
This determination comes after Judge Beryl A. Howell of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia entered default judgment against Rudolph W. Giuliani, finding him liable to Ms. Freeman and Ms. Moss on all of their claims. At the close of trial, the eight members of the jury awarded $75M in punitive damages, $33,169,000 in defamation damages, and $40M in total damages for infliction of emotional distress.
Ms. Moss and Ms. Freeman filed suit in December 2021 against Mr. Giuliani for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and civil conspiracy arising from statements he made to intentionally undermine the results of the 2020 presidential election. Protect Democracy, through its Law for Truth project, represents Ms. Freeman and Ms. Moss in the case against Mr. Giuliani, in partnership with the law firms Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP and DuBose Miller LLC. As the legal team stated during its closing argument in the case, “Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, as it turns out, are miles and miles away from ordinary; they are heroes. After everything they went through, they stood up and they said: No more.”

Welfare offices and other agencies in at least 46 US states are providing voter registration forms to migrants without requiring proof of citizenship, leading Republicans and conservatives to call for swift federal action to stop the handouts.
Every state but North Dakota, New Hampshire, Wisconsin and Wyoming gives applicants for either welfare benefits, driver’s licenses, or in some cases, mail-in ballots federal voter registration forms without demanding proof of citizenship.
There is currently no requirement on federal voting forms to provide proof of US citizenship, though it is illegal to falsely claim one is a citizen or for a non-citizen to cast a ballot in a federal election.
But millions of migrants with humanitarian parole, refugee or asylum status are eligible for benefits that would bring them to the offices where voter registration takes place
The National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993 ordered states to register voters at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and agencies where Americans apply for public benefits — and those offices are required by federal law to hand over the registration forms along with the application papers. If an applicant attests that they are a US citizen, that is considered valid on its face and the person is registered to vote — except in Virginia, Tennessee and New Mexico where they must provide a full Social Security number as well.
