I saw this on "Zero-Hedge" kinda sort or reminded me when I drove Trucks Cross Country & outta "Necissity" wasnt always a bathroom available I hadda pee in bottles & take a dump outside thankfully I was smart enough steal extra napkins fast food joints usually had rolls of paper towels clean my windows & mirrors off so I had atleast something wipe my but..

Ya know the old saying if an animal craps in the woods does its a make a smell if nobody there 2 smell it

I thank God I live in the USA  here at home when I go ya flush the can & the Sewage Departments takes care of that 4 ya ..

Here in the Midwest they dry it out Sell that as "Fertilizer" to Farmers and they spread it on the fields 
 
 

Rural areas aimt hooked up a County or Municipal sewage system they have "Septic Tank" but they do need to be maintened properly and sucked out every year or so
 

I forgot 2 mention if ya ever out camping or hiking & got lost make sure ya gotta filter or atleast boil the water before ya drink it.

Animals have different digestive systems they just take a drink outta any old puddle usually doesnt bother them.

People are different drink out of a puddle or maybe what looks like a clear stream.

Their could be anything in that water and people systems & guts cant handle that stuff like wildlife systems can

Depends on size relative to number of occupants and if it gets "abused".
Every three years is not a bad cycle for a **** Suck.

The higher up into the mountains you are, the better the water.
Could still be a dead critter upstream though.
