Looks like the "Personal Savings Rate" would be an interesting number to follow back  through time [if that were possible].

You would first need to have faith that the numbers aren’t just entirely cooked, and that is sorely lacking in today’s environment for a (((great reason))).

The WW Two Gen was having a great time and socking money away but 
look at the big dive in the 1970s when [[[Women's Lib]]]  was launched and then we had our [[[gasoline shortage]]] and then [[[credit cards]]] became a thing.

The fact that you don't know your *** from a hole in the ground is self evident in today's reality not withstanding the personified data from the ancestors coming to forward reality in time today.

The world has a head injury.
