Cotton was "King" in south they still grow alotta cotton to this day.
Cotton Crop was very Labor Intensive and Plantations & Slaves.
Here in the Midwest we grow Corn & Soybeans but by now Tractors & Combines .
Grandma & Grandpa tell ya stories about when they were kids hadda milk the cows by hand and cut wheat by hand

Grandma & Grandpa were kinda bullcrapping us as well ..
They had Tractors back then they just like tell ya the stories & how hard it was

Now on a "Modern Farm" it still aint so easy.
Even in elevated prices your input co$ts double that.
Every year to ya gotta go down to the bank take out a "New Loan" & Refinace the "Operation" too
