I AGREE that the Healthcare system is POORLY designed... AND I DO NOT think that taxing, and diverting, BILLIONS of $$$ to a healthcare Bureaucracy EVERY YEAR... that ONLY gets FATTER and wants MORE... is the answer !

There needs to be some mandates established whereby the system WORKS for Americans, WITHOUT making the FAT CAT Healthcare system MORE BLOATED every year... and MORE $$$ diverted into the pockets of CORRUPT politicians... who get greedier and GREEDIER... and spend MORE and MORE... EVERY YEAR to make the Healthcare system, FATTER and FATTER...

Someone needs to BLOW the LID OFF of "CORRUPT Healthcare", END the KICKBACKS to CORRUPT Politicians, and BRING the entire BLOATED BUREAUCRATIC MESS...  BACK down to EARTH !!  So that Americans can have their healthcare needs met, WITHOUT bankrupting them... WITHOUT bankrupting the Federal Government, WITHOUT making politicians RICH, AND STILL provide the Healthcare system with a "REASONABLE" profit !

The time of HEALTH CARE getting FILTHY RICH on the backs of "We the People" and a CORRUPT Federal Government... NEEDS to END !

OH... BTW... Obamacare WAS PART of the PROBLEM !!

This little detail is going to be hard to get around.

Publicly traded, for-profit health insurers, for example, make billions per year. As these companies' shares are publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange, they have a fiduciary (legal) responsibility to make money for their shareholders, not to do what's best for the patient.

You're correct, it's the middle man that's got the situation so screwed......get everyone out of the picture that gets between a doctor and a patient.

They DO NOT, and SHOULD NOT, have a fiduciary (legal) responsibility to SCREW the American Taxpayers, because they can PAY OFF elected politicians, and make SWEETHEART deals... which if it were to be proven... BOTH healthcare executives, and the politicians involved.. could go to JAIL for doing it !!!

IT'S CALLED CORRUPTION !

AND, in case you live in a CAVE... Washington is FRAUGHT with it... HOW do you think a NOBODY... can get elected, and become a multi millionaire, in NO TIME ?

I agree. Another significant problem is no one knows how much it costs and it's like pulling teeth to find out. People just don't care, it's on the insurance company. Shopping around makes a difference.

We have been paying cash the last 3 years. Instant 40% cash discount at the community hospital and know the price beforehand. Those paid bills go to our "share plan" and quite amazingly have reimbursed everything minus $1k deductible.

Anyone who has held UnitedHealth stock the last 15 years would say the current system works just fine. 2500% total return is impressive.

It's much easier to just play the game, invest and offset whatever you think you're getting screwed by.

It will definitely be interesting to see how this plays out in Trump's term. I'm a little over a year from Medicare age, I'm paying attention!
