Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a series of major changes to the company's moderation policies and practices, saying that the election felt like a "cultural tipping point." !!  ...announced a series of major changes to the company's moderation policies and practices, citing a shifting political and social landscape and a desire to embrace free speech... and said that the election felt like a "cultural tipping point."

Said... "We're going to get back to our roots and focus on reducing mistakes, simplifying our policies and restoring free expression on our platforms," Zuckerberg said in a video. "More specifically, here's what we're going to do. First, we're going to get rid of fact checkers and replace them with community notes similar to X, starting in the U.S."

Basically said... "we are no longer going to censor freedom of speech (i.e. "Government MANDATED censorship)"... and get back their ROOTS !

NO One should lick ANYONES shoes... BUT, they should be TRUTHFUL, FAIR, and HONEST... OR they should be OUT of Business !!

I still think Zuckerberg needs to be Investigated, and his CULPABILITY, and his companies CULPABILITY assessed... AND, if appropriate, HE should be prosecuted to the FULLEST extent of the law also... What's GOOD for the TRUMPSTER, is GOOD for the ZUCKSTER...and OTHERS !  Lets see how they ALL like it... these johnny come lately attempts to make nice are WAY TOO LATE !!

Just heard Jack Smith spent $20 million on his two little lawfare cases. There has to be a better way going forward. I don't think Trump is going to press the issue.

Probably a little of BOTH... I heard today that PART of Zuckerbergs mia culpa... was to move the operation from California, to Texas... the thought being that the people he hires will be a little less pro "bat$hit CRAZY Liberal" !

I agree.  It is a start.  And, that's a win for our side.

He says he already did it, I've noticed nothing has changed.  If the changes are so subtle then it's an apology for being caught instead of a correction.

I'm not sure that' it will all be obvious... PART of the censorship were algorithms that automatically would not permit certain things to be discussed... Zuckerberg said he has taken steps to remove/loosten those censors... it might take some time.. BUT, AT LEAST the move is POSITIVE !
