Musk, being the narcissistic know-it-all that he thinks he is, has already created riffs between him and some of Trump's aids. They are saying that Musk is beginning to cross over the line of his own scope of knowledge and into the scope of the experts. He is contributing about things that he knows little about. I never saw these two as a great fit. They both need to have control. I predicted on another OP of mine that by the end of 2025, Trump and Musk won't even be on speaking terms. Trump will fail to control him and Musk will fail to get Trump off his back. Therefore, Musk will give Trump an ultimatum. Either back off or he steps down.

I don't think that's true AT ALL...

Elon Musk COULD have just went along with California, after they mandated electric vehicles (and everything else) by 2025... BUT HE DIDN'T !  HE moved Tesla OUT of California, SPOKE OUT against the IDIOCY of California politics (and recent events have only PROVEN him to be RIGHT)... AND, HE KNOWS Trump is RIGHT about what he says NEEDS to happen... Musk VOLUNTEERED to be part of the DOGE effort... and WAS ACTIVE in barnstorming with Donald Trump to WIN the 2024 election...

I think anyone who pushes the "Uncomfortable Fit" & "Divisions within the core of Trumps team" CRAP is just throwing **** against the wall HOPING that some of it sticks.. I ALSO think that it's OBVIOUS... that anyone who has been as involved in MAGA, and the Trump approach to politics... is doing it because they BELIEVE in it !!

You brought up an example that is contrary the point. Musk knows about EVs, so he was somewhat of an authority on it. The complaint is that he is imposing himself on other members of Trump's team on issues that he knows little about, but the others do.

But where is the SOURCE for these claims?

Is it in the same media that tells you boys can be girls? Because that media might have an agenda to drive a wedge.

Well, yes. It would. 

I would imagine that Musk is focused on his area of expertise and accountability. I don't envision a lot of interdepartmental brainstorming going on. That is not how Trump works. He departmentalizes. And I don't envision a scenario where Musk is hanging around the water cooler and buttonholing people.

I am working with several H1-B's..  One of them had to go back to India to renew the Visa..

It's ridiculous that our effed up education system has left us so brain dead that Elon has to import noggins to get anything done.

It sure seems like a bad time to abandon a national education strategy, The toothless red hats play with their game controller all day and wait for the  Trump Coin Crypto payoff.
