Musk didn't want him. Vivik says he wants to run for governor in Ohio. However, Musk stated that he kept clashing over hiring foreign workers. What a surprise, Musk pushing out someone with a different view than him. How unusual for a narcissistic know-it-all. I made another thread recently that he was already causing problems in other areas of Trump's admin. Musk won't tolerate different thinkers. So far, my prediction is coming to light. 

I will repeat my prediction: By the end of 2025, Musk and Trump will no longer be on speaking terms. He will give Trump an ultimatum: Either get off his back and let him go rogue or he will step down. Musk will step down.

Trump chose Ramaswamy to lead Doge, a non-governmental organization, alongside Musk in November.It leaves Musk, the world’s richest man, in sole charge, which will trouble some given he has said “at least” $2tn could be cut from federal spending. He is nothing more than an opportunist. That's it. He isn't as smart as he has been made out to be. He also doesn't care about humanity as much as what is suggested. 

He quit because he had too. He is going to run for Governor of Ohio. Sorry Dems, no controversy here.

Yes. I just don't see this partnership working. Elon bought his seat at the table. That doesn't mean he should be there.

DOGE should be seen as a WATCH DOG agency that has the ability to bring great shame and public outrage upon our most corrupt and wasteful government entities...[including Congress].
According to VR our DoD has a trillion dollars that they can't account for.
Musk should be seen as an efficiency expert who also has his own mass media network......what's not to like about that...?

True. It's not that I don't think that he will get the job done. It's that he will divide the wrong people, his own allies. If he is going to expose all the corruption, then he will need to work with Trump. Maybe now, things between the two are fine. However, as the months go on, and Musk goes rogue, Trump will fail to control him. I can't see a guy like Musk stopping at controlling DOGE. He will want to have a seat at the table of other departments also.

As a Business Man it's not possible for Musk to divest himself from all sorts of conflict of interest claims against him....so I think his role should have been clearly outlined from the start as a "Side Gig" where he is seen as a concerned private citizen.
