I'm fast losing my interest in college football. The NIL money is going to ruin the game, as the richest universities will attract the best players......Ohio St. being the latest example. The only loyalty a player has will be to the team that pays them the most. I can only imagine how it impacts the academics of an institution since there is no way an institution that has millions invested in Tyrone would ever give him a failing grade.

They have turned college football into rinky-dink pro football.  I hate it now.  There is NOTHING representative about college football players and the school they pretend to play for. 

I would like to see Universities and Colleges form tackle football clubs and leagues which compete with other schools, but which also preclude any pro or college player from playing in it.  Get rid of these Low-IQ ghetto-trolls who just are simply auditioning for the NFL.  Take the money out of it and get students and alumni to support club-football over college pro-football.

Football is a fantastic game itself. However, like the OP title said, the powers that be ruin the experience. Unfortunately, players don't play for teams anymore. They play for contracts and sponsorships. That makes the league look pitiful. However, the game itself is awesome. 

never been into Sports Worship...take the money out of it and only the real lovers of the game will play...like in the days of old

The richest universities already did...this just adds whipped cream on ****...
 

The NIL has changed the game obviously. It has moved the center of power from the SEC to the Big Ten. The Big Ten has more active alumni and richer alumni. When there was no NIL, the recruits stayed closer to home because there was little value added to going to Illinois (versus staying at Georgia, Florida, Clemson, etc). What NIL and the portal has done is taken away the depth that SEC and southern ACC teams had for years. Their second string players could be all-___ First team players in any other conference and probably get drafted early. Now. instead of being a second or third string player at Alabama.. they get paid and become first string players at UNLV, Nebraska, Oregon State.. just examples. I am not a fan of this current version of the game.
