Davos 2025: Special Address by Javier Milei, President of Argentina...

• President Javier Milei tells Davos that Argentina is an "example of a new way of doing politics, which is about telling people the truth to their faces".
• He says the "winds of change are blowing in the West" and calls for a cure to the "mental virus of woke ideology" that has "colonized institutions".
• Milei urges the world to "embrace the last proven thesis of economic and social success" and the "ideas of freedom", and go back to libertarianism.

The common denominator among the countries and institutions that are failing is the mental virus of woke ideology. 

 This is the great epidemic of our time that must be cured. This is the cancer we need to get rid of. This ideology has colonized the world's most important institutions – from the political parties and governments of leading Western nations to global governance organizations, even NGOs, universities and media outlets. 

 It has also set the tone of the global conversation over the past decades. Until we remove this abhorrent ideology from our culture, our institutions and our laws, Western civilization – and even the human species – will not be able to return to the path of progress demanded by our pioneering spirit. 

 It is essential to break these ideological chains if we want to usher in a new golden age. That is why today I would like to take a few minutes to breaking those chains.

One of the monthly contributors was a pretty woke guy [the good kind of woke] named John Silviera.
He is the originator of this epic advertisement that was inserted as "space filler" in the back pages of one of the issues.

"WANTED:" the ad read, "Somebody to go back in time with me. This is not a joke. P.O.Box 322 Oakview CA, 93022. You'll get paid after we get back. Must bring your own weapons. Safety not guaranteed. I have only done this once before."
I smile every time I see that ad.
It's the "Libertarian" in me that just completed a price list for what it would take to build a  24 x 44  "storage building" that doesn't require any permits [but would be easily converted to a dwelling]
Built to all current codes from the foundation on up with T1 11 plywood siding, 2 x 6 exterior walls, metal roof [with hidden fasteners]...$30,000 DIY for just an empty shell [with no utilities or interior] 
That ain't  too bad and this is based on retail prices.
Another $10,000 for a DIY septic system,, bathroom and kitchen plumbing
$1500 for a [easily sourced used wood stove], brick hearth area and chimney.
A Libertarian will look at this as a better "insurance policy" to have [if the unthinkable ever happens to the primary residence] than making 15 yearly payments into Allstate for fire and storm insurance.

I've known about this movie but haven't seen it yet. 
I wonder if John Silviera made just  a nickle from it...?
I don't know anything  about what THE OFFICIAL LIBERTARIAN PARTY position is with respect to allowing Big Business to make their own rules and not having to abide by any regulations is.
I really have no idea...but I think only the most radical members of any political or religious sect take the ALL OR NOTHING path with their belief system.
