Canada is definitely not in a position of strength. According to JD vance, it comes down to fentanyl trafficking. I am not so sure about that. I have no data to say whether a lot of this enters the US by way of Canada.

Actually, Canada is not in a position of strength after 9 years of a Net Zero Liberal/WEF government ....
Canadians are the most heavily taxed  in the G7.....

I went back and edited the comment. The taxes in Canada to an outsider are... perplexing. Someone on another forum broke it out for me and I read it dozens of times and still could not wrap my mind around having that many taxes.

While The government hands out endless cash to the immigrants while cutting services to Canadians.
and also paying and subsidizing companies to hire immigrants over Canadians .....
It's **** up.
We are in real trouble here ....
The wife and I were thinking about moving and selling the ranch but their new capital gains tax on farm's and ranch's would see them take 62 % of the sale ....

It serves to weaken an already weak economy into submission.

The Net Zero Liberal party doubled our deficit from 600 billion in 2015 to 1.2 trillion in 9 years .....
a country with 40 million people now have a 54 billion dollar debt payment per year...
They also doubled the size of our government mostly due to creating Net Zero Beauracracy for their agenda....
