For decades Illegal Aliens have "lived" at Yosemite campground sites.
I think there was a 7 day rule, but all it took to remain there as residents was for a different member of the clan to cough up the fee so that they could "migrate" 100 feet in any direction to a different camp site.
US Citizens have had to compete with Illegal Aliens for places to camp at California's National Parks ever since I saw it happening in the 1960s.
