You are now a statistic, put your big girl pants and do what needs to be done!
I've never been fired but did go through a downsize when the company lost a big contract. The company let go several long term employees that were doing the bare minimum. Employees are replaceable.
I have been laid off three times. It sucks, but that's how it goes.Fuelman » 10 minutes ago » wrote: ↑ I've never been fired but did go through a downsize when the company lost a big contract. It doesn't take much effort these days to be just above average.
We simply have too many members of our society working directly for one government or another.Vegas » Today, 10:24 am » wrote: ↑ I see a lot of memes and vids on social media about how depressed some of these workers are for losing their job after their department was sliced. It is not uncommon for neither a company nor a government agency to downsize. People lose jobs. I have been laid off for the same reason 3 times before. Yes, it sucks. But it is also the way it works. Evidently, they don't teach that in high school before they head out in the real world. I don't understand why some people are so upset about something that is not unusual.
Get over it. Find another job.
As long as they pare down the government workers based on merit rather than some **** up DEI ****, we should see an increase in efficiency. Maybe 10% reduction in work done but a 30% reduction in workforce.Vegas » Today, 10:24 am » wrote: ↑ I see a lot of memes and vids on social media about how depressed some of these workers are for losing their job after their department was sliced.
