Shouldn't the Repubs be trying to stop Trump from making Canada and Greenland states?

I don't know how many electoral votes each will have. However, I am fairly certain that they would end up as blue states. That is not favorable toward Republicans during election time.

I don't know for sure, but I suspect Canada is like the US, most of the scum is in the bigger cities......maybe Trump can gerrymander things so they can be left to rot where they're at and we only take the quality people and areas.
