RALPH NADER (Nov 6, 2024)... my comments in BLUE:   This is a collapse of the Democratic Party. They didn’t get their vote out that they wanted. They were several million votes below what they expected, and, of course, that made the difference in an Electoral College system in the swing states.  Basically, we now are a country under a dictatorial corporate state (yea, RIGHT). Trump is basically a magnet and a trap for the Democrats. They (the Democrat Party) spent tens of millions of dollars on ads going after Trump, instead of going after the four years that Trump deep-sixed so many critical issues and positions in his term as president. So, the problem is, it’s so many variables here to deal with. It all started,  when the Democrats abandoned half the country to the red states. That’s devastating. Then they started getting corporate cash in 1979, dialing for the same commercial values. That blurred their difference from the New Deal-type Democrats to the corporate Democrats. Then they contracted out the election to these corporate-conflicted profiteering consulting firms, which the mass media never seemed to want to investigate in this campaign. And then they abandoned public media... And then they never learn from their mistakes.

 And so, the message that they gave to the American people? The message is Trump is terrible, and you can’t believe how bad the Republican Party is. It’s too general a message, too simple. A vast majority of people think corporations have too much control over their lives. They didn’t fill the blanks, denial of healthcare benefits. And they didn’t fill the blanks on a living wage (Spoken like a Marxist Socialist Warrior) . They didn’t fill the blanks on cracking down on corporate crooks (doesn't mention the Democrat controlled Bureaucrat crooks). They didn’t fill the blanks on reversing a tax system which under taxes the very wealthy and the big corporations. They didn’t reverse themselves really on trade. They didn’t know how to rebut Trump on immigration. He called the people coming in rapists, criminals, drug traffickers, etc. Instead of saying, “Well, they’re fleeing oppressive countries that are backed by the U.S., dictators and oligarchs in Central and South America,” they didn’t say that millions of Americans trust immigrants to harvest their food, to care for their children, to care for elderly, to provide critical services that nobody wants to work in in the U.S. (the TRUTH is there are BOTH good and bad.. BUT ARE ILLEGALS and many are violent criminals !!)

So, you know, there’s such a bill of particulars against this Democratic Party. And what’s happened, of course, is that millions of people are basically saying, “We’re sick of throwaway lines. We’re sick of not having the government return the benefits of massive taxation to us. We’re sick of — all we hear about is empire abroad. All we hear about is more military budgets by the Democrats and the Republicans in Congress, giving the generals more than they ask for, eating the public budgets that should be providing public services and public infrastructure in communities all over the country, creating key jobs.” (Oh BROTHER... Ralph Nader is TRULY a Marxist Socialist, but, TODAYS Democrats are CORRUPT, SELF SERVING, POWER hungry BUREAUCRATS... and I don't think America needs EITHER !!)   Now, we tried to straighten out these Democrats. Twenty-four civic leaders in 2022, going into the present time, tried to tell them how to communicate, what to communicate with all the people. And they didn’t listen.

BUT... Just STOP and think what Nader is saying:

1)  Nader calls the OLD Democrat Party... the "New Deal-type Democrats".. which could be more accurately described as Marxist-Socialist Democrats... where labor unions rule (i.e. the workers), at the expense of the entrepreneurs that CREATE the businesses, companies, and corporations... which CREATE the jobs FOR the workers... AND, Historically, Socialism has NOT been very successful, AT EITHER, "CREATING the jobs" for the workers, OR, "CREATING the Governments" under which Workers can live, work or prosper, and they ALWAYS seem to morph into Totalitarian Police States... where the "workers" (i.e. the People) suffer.

2)  The CORPORATE Democrat Party that Nader says he believes the "New Deal-type Democrats" have turned into... Democrats who are NO LONGER tied to the "Workers" but seem to be MORPHING into the EXACT SAME Socialism, THAT has is NOT very successful, AT EITHER, "CREATING the jobs" for the workers, OR, "CREATING the Governments" under which Workers can live, work & prosper, and ALWAYS seems to morph into a Totalitarian Police State, at the end of the process... where the "workers" (i.e. the People) suffer.

3)  I think Naders comments are an ADMISSION that the OLD Democrat Party IS NO MORE... BUT, has MORPHED, into something that is approaching the governments of Russia, China, and ALL the other nations on earth that have turned to "Socialism", but are NOW Totalitarian Police States, ruled by a Dictator, and have NO IDEA how to run a successful Nation, of do it for the benefit of their PEOPLE !!

I think Nader's words, in addition to the brief history lesson (above), is EXACTLY why WE (America) need to move AWAY from Socialism (in ANY FORM), and to Protect & Cherish our Democratic Republic, and EMBRACE what Donald Trump is tying to do to PUT America BACK on the RIGHT TRACK... IN SPITE of what the Democrat Party is trying to do to STOP HIM... MAINTAIN their POWER, and ROT that it will bring !

The path THEY (the Democrats) had America on, had LITTLE to do with LAW, or RIGHT, or HONESTY, LEGALITY... for THEM it was about Amassing POWER, thru the Bureaucratic State, USING the Bureaucracy to IMPOSE THEIR WILL on America, MAKE themselves RICH, and SCREW honest America and Americans in the process !

While I like what you are saying here, I have always felt Ralph Nadar gets everything wrong. Yeah, much like that idiot Marx did.  Nadar is that "smart guy" who knew only one thing - how to be the quintessential lawyer.  When it comes to science, engineering and math - Nadar's intellect is lacking.

Take for example the Corvair, and Nadar's "Unsafe at any Speed" campaign against it. Contrary to Nadar's claims that the Corvair was unsafe, real science and engineering proved that the Corvair had no greater potential for loss of control in extreme situations than other compact cars. In fact, there are still many examples of the Corvair owned and driven by collectors today.

Nadar reminds me a lot of Robert Kennedy, just more radical and a tad bit smarter - lawyer smart.  Nadar was wrong about the environment, railed against nuclear power without really understanding it. He was a huge proponent of big-government to reign in Corporations. Wrong on both of these fronts, Nadar failed to predict how big-government leads to big government corruption, the likes of which are just now being uncovered.  Nadar also failed to recognize that nuclear power, when given a chance to evolve, is by far some of the cleanest power on this planet.

Like Marx, Nadar just wasn't a deep thinker.  He would find a "cause" and superficially blast at it not really understanding the consequences of his rhetoric.  So, I have a tough time reading ANY article that holds Ralph Nadar as an "expert" on anything - other than manipulating the legal system.

YOU KNOW that many in the Democrat Party GOT that message, when after the November election, MSNBC, and other "Fake News" outlets lost 50% of their viewers, almost over night !!  The LIGHT BULB just came on for MANY Americans, after the they realized than MOST of the LIES they had been told during the campaign, WERE, INDEED,  LIES... and they had had ENOUGH...

YOU STILL see 70% of American support Trumps promise to CLEAN OUT Washington, DRAIN the SWAMP, and end the WASTE, FRAUD, and ABUSE... Democrats are out there PRETENDING that it's NOT true, but MOST Americans just NOW KNOW it is... BOTTOM LINE... Trump was RIGHT, and THIS NEEDS to happen... as the Democrat Party WHINES and SQUEALS all the way... AT SOME POINT, they have GOT to accept reality !!
