You're correct...it was interesting...

 I did find it rich when describing how the Russians forced the tribes into fur harvesting, comparing to US Indian takeover minimizing its brutality...

it truly is a matter of "keep your friends close and your enemies closer..."

I have maintained that China's got Russia by the balls.
They need each other . . . at least, for now. The recent pseudo-friendship has not overcome centuries of friction.
There is no ocean in between for a buffer.
That solves a huge logistical issue when trying to move a 100,000,000 man army. They can walk.

true, however I would tend to believe it's one hell on a long walk through some of the harshest climate probably resulting in many casualties and on the flip side, providing an endless supply of meat...

But as the video points out, it is previously Chinese territory taken away when the opportunity arose.
Shoe is on the other foot now. China is not the weak one this time around.
