I think some of the difference is that Chinese Workers have more of a "SENSE OF URGENCY" to show up every day ready to put in 8 hours worth of quality work for 8 hours worth of pay....or else find themselves not only out of their current job...but also with a bad reputation that will follow them from one rejected employment application to the next rejected employment application......Vegas » 20 Apr 2025, 11:02 am » wrote: ↑ Companies no longer outsource to China because of cheap labor. My solution. Though nobody asked.
Our lack of skill is no excuse for us to remain dependent on foreign production. If Cook’s statement is genuine, then the solution is simple: invest in training a highly skilled domestic manufacturing workforce. Clearly the government doesn't give a **** either. Or at least the private companies should establish such a pipeline. It would give them a front row seat to the talent. Tax incentives, public-private apprenticeships, and trade school pipelines focused on precision electronics and engineering would not only bring jobs home, but eventually close the so-called “skill gap” that companies like Apple use to justify offshoring.
Cook's full of ****...it's about wages, regulations, etc...Vegas » 20 Apr 2025, 11:02 am » wrote: ↑ Companies no longer outsource to China because of cheap labor. If Apple really cares more about skill than saving money, then why haven’t they made the same kind of investment in training workers in other countries? The fact that they haven’t tried to build that kind of workforce outside of China makes it seem like “skill” might just be a nice-sounding excuse for sticking with a system that gives them more control and easier scaling.

As far as skill level goes when it comes to assembling micro-tiny electronic components is concerned.....maybe those really slitty eyes that Chinks have helps them look at stuff in the microscope...?![]()
For example...here's a car that only some SLITTY EYED CHINK would be able to safely drive......

and what about this?Apple on Monday reaffirmed a commitment to invest hundreds of billions of dollars in the U.S. over the coming years amid pressure from President Donald Trump and the growing threat of his tariffs...
The tech giant said it planned to spend $500 billion over the next five years in the United States, with intentions to hire 20,000 new workers and produce AI servers.
