I imagine THAT is the type of diabetes that occurred 2000+ yrs ago.
A group predisposed to thousands of years of eating mostly fat-based is unlikely to be afflicted with diabetes because their carb intake is naturally low. However, if they were to start consuming carbs at higher rates (that people like you and me would easily tolerate) they would almost certainly develop prediabetes.
It is no surprise diabetes is prevalent amongst ‘da blacks who combine watermelon and soda (sugar) with fried chicken (fat).
Back when I lived in Utah, I saw a Knee-Grow womyn show up at the KFC (in 2020). She was shocked at the price increases on the menu and spent 5-7 min deciding what to get*GHETTOBLASTER » 10 May 2025, 9:57 pm » wrote: ↑ Good points..!
Notice how poorly American Indians metabolize alcohol too.
Notice how sugary KFC beans and coleslaw are...that stuff sure tastes good though.
KFC frawd chiggin packs a double whammy with chickens that were bred and raised to be so high in fat that 1/2 of every piece ends up being deep fried fatty skin.
The KFC breast meat is riddled with fat too.

I have been watering down the juice 4 to 1... Tart Cherry Juice had become a favorite ingredient just before the watch what I eat orders. It's loaded with cals.Cannonpointer » 11 May 2025, 1:10 am » wrote: ↑ Yes, eating fruit is very healthy. Fruititarianism is healthy.
Drinking orange or apple or grape juice is a shuttle-bus ticket to Diabetesville.
You can have your pomegranate or cherry juice every day if you lower your fat by 80%JohnnyYou » 11 May 2025, 7:03 am » wrote: ↑ I have been watering down the juice 4 to 1... Tart Cherry Juice had become a favorite ingredient just before the watch what I eat orders. It's loaded with cals.
One trick is 4 drops of orange or strawberry extract and a pack of stevia in 8 oz of water.
Michelob Ultra Zero is amazing. 25 cals a can or so. No inebriating substances contained there in.
I do try to stay low carbs.. But if Utz Dark Kettle Potato Chips get near me they are down like a porn star on a hottie.

With juicing you are tossing out lots of fiber and zero calorie bulk to help you feel full...but on the other hand you are encouraging the intake of the nutrients in their most bio-available form.
[A good tasting tonic I haven't taken the time to make in years is carrot, garlic and a wee bit of apple. If you have a good attitude about drinking freshly macerated garlic...thrown in as much as you like]

I believe if you put a bit of lemon and ginger in the carrot juice, it might help take the edge off the resulting insulin resistance - but I'm not sure about that. What I can say is that carrot juice is some good ****. But it should be consumed over a period of time - perhaps 20 to 30 minutes per cup. It should be sipped, not gulped. Easier said than done, of course. That **** is delicious.*GHETTOBLASTER » 11 May 2025, 9:29 am » wrote: ↑ What about juicing carrots...?

Yes, carotenoids do that. You can get them from squash, pumpkin, and marigolds, as well. It's a nice way to get darker yolks and better flavor from hens'eggs. Sweet potatoes also work.Mrkelly » 11 May 2025, 11:52 am » wrote: ↑ My friend fed so many carrots to her dog

And all of the above are great for dogs, and my dogs and my hens get them all. IN MODERATION, in the case of the dogs. Your friend was **** up giving her animal so much that it showed up in that way. But if her dog was consuming them RAW, no harm no foul, I suspect. The amount of fiber in raw carrots would likely offset the amount of sugar.
I concur. And it is not as unusual as people think. I am betting it's a small dog. They're the ones that tend to crave veggies and fruit, in my experience. Probably no more than 20 pounds?

And I am betting the dog is a Trump voter - just based on appearance?
