Was listening to Trumps comments on the negotiations... he said: 1) He WILL NOT remove tariffs while negotiations are going on, and 2)  He will REQUIRE access to Chinese markets !

The PROBLEM?  He is NEVER going to get access to Chinese markets because:   A) Xi doesn't want the Chinese people to be consumers, because he wants to have total control of his people !... B) Xi Sees the WORLD thru a Socialist prism, he will build things and sell them to the world, so they can get rich, BUR will keep the people under his heel !... and C)  IF Trump will not drop tariffs while they negotiate, there WILL BE trade (unless China will pay HUGE tariffs)... because Xi WILL NOT risk his people becoming "Westernized" !!

THAT will only change when Chinese Communism ENDS... and THAT will only happen when the "People" REBEL, and OVERTHROW Xi !

I don't see ANY other solution !!

SO, India will now take China;s place (to some extent)... because I STILL See Trump wanting to take back critical markets and technologies !  But China?  WILL ONLY be a player again if Trump CAVES.. and I DO NOT see that happening?  WHY WOULD HE?  HE'S RIGHT...

America holds ALL the CARDS!!

WHY don't Democrats SEE that? ...HA!!  WE ALL KNOW WHY... Because they don't WANT to !  THEY want to Impeach Trump, and have him STOP all these steps that "WILL MAKE America GREAT AGAIN !!"... because otherwise... THEY are TOAST !!

IMO tRump will drop the tariffs down if he wants a deal

he already exempted all electronics from china of his new tariffs

Xi is playing the long game.  The only problem is that he will have at least 4 years of Trump to get through.  I don't see Xi making a deal with Trump.  Xi doesn't care much about China's citizens suffering. In fact, he expects it of them.

The only way for Trump to win this against China and get a deal is to:

• Figure out what he wants most from China and stand firm on that. Maybe farm or auto exports, and get China out of the Panama Canal
• Give in on a bunch of other stuff that China won't back down from.
• Keep tariffs on China at 15%.

Then, do everything in his power to move Taiwan Semicondocutor, Foxconn and pharmaceutical manufacturing to the United States.

Trump has already won... BIG company after BIG company are getting OUT of China... Apple, and MANY others... and as we speak the Chinese economy is IMPLODING, and Chinese citizens are RIOTING... We need to keep facilitating the stream of businesses leaving China, especially semi-conductors and pharmaceuticals. I'd like to see electronics manufacturing return to the US as well.

Yes, China is imploding. I would rather see a steady decline in China rather than have it implode. Ask yourself - what do Countries do when the economy sucks, everyone is unemployed, and the leader is taking a lot of heat?  Hint, what did Germany do after going through hyper inflation, massive unemployment and a long term stagnant economy following the Treaty of Versailles, especially when the US wasn't there to finance its fragile economy?  Or, more recently, what did America do after its President got caught with his pecker in a young intern's mouth?

My sister was watching a series - I think it might have been dexter, - and she asked me to watch an episode with her. I watched season one episode one of whatever series it was, and she asked me what I thought of it. I told her I found the casting decisions a bit unusual. I said the white police captain was supposed to be black and female, and she was supposed to be portrayed as being constantly exasperated with the detective for coloring outside the lines. 

She raised her eyes in wonderment, and sped forward a few episodes to reveal that the white police captain had been replaced by a black female who was by-the-book and constantly exasperated by her detective's off-the-reservation methods. 

Idunno everthang, but I know what I know. My sister's respect for and attention to my arguments regarding the current social order - already high - increased.
