Yes, China is imploding. I would rather see a steady decline in China rather than have it implode. Ask yourself - what do Countries do when the economy sucks, everyone is unemployed, and the leader is taking a lot of heat? Hint, what did Germany do after going through hyper inflation, massive unemployment and a long term stagnant economy following the Treaty of Versailles, especially when the US wasn't there to finance its fragile economy?

Just saw a report that China and Trump have reached a deal... IF TRUE, it tells us a LOT of things:Skans » Today, 1:10 pm » wrote: ↑ We need to keep facilitating the stream of businesses leaving China, especially semi-conductors and pharmaceuticals. No, not semantics. You don't understand the definition of semantics. When you say that a deck of cards has 52 cards, but are wrong because they have more than 52 cards, that's not semantics, that's just WRONG! Clearly wrong. But, not only are you wrong, you will never admit when you are wrong, and I find this slightly more interesting than the fact that you are wrong.
The old Sole-Bait-&-Switch. You never said anything about card games. You were speaking of a deck of cards. But, when you are clearly wrong you try oh-so hard to change the narrative. Foolishly and ineptly try to change the narrative. Such a nonsense thing like getting the number of cards wrong in a deck of playing cards, most normal people would say something like "Oh snap, I forgot about those extra cards - got me, card counting nazi!"Many popular card games are played without using jokers, ...
Well, I was wrong about the 15% - he went down to 10%. LOL, but let's see how close this China deal comes to what I said it would be. It will appear that Trump made all kinds of concessions, except several things - one of which is a 10% tariff. And, that together with some tax incentives, might be all it takes to get TWSC to build more plants in the US.
WTF are you rambling on about this morning?Cannonpointer » Yesterday, 1:42 pm » wrote: ↑ OH!!! Oh, OH!!! Mistah Kottah! Mistah Kottah!!
Go after the jews?
Trump gets to keep a 10% tariff on China. It should be 15%, so he capitulated a little more than I thought he would. He will likely get a deal to curtail the fentanyl-flow. Stealing technology? Forget it, you might as well ask the Chinese to lose the slant in their eyes. Any deal will be based upon the actual trade surplus going down, which means hidden tariffs and barriers to market entry won't work for China.ConservativeWave » Yesterday, 3:55 pm » wrote: ↑ Just saw a report that China and Trump have reached a deal... 1) I can't imagine that ANY trade deal would be made that didn't include ALL of the provisions that China agreed to in 2018, and then BROKE as soon as Joe Biden was elected... THAT deal included requirements that China NOT steal American technology any longer, Opening up their imports (not just exports), and NO LONGER engaging in a laundry list of other illegal trade activities... that were explicitly stipulated in the 2018 agreement...
2) They will have to have agreed KNOWING that Apple, HP, Google, Walmart and OTHER companies have decided to LEAVE China...
3) THEY may have ONLY made the agreements expecting to WAIT OUT Trump, and HOPING for another Democrat to take office... so they can BREAK all the agreements JUST like the did before...
I would think Donald Trump has sim surprises for them if that is true !!
I have done the argument about 54 cards in a new deck for many decades. But, I also work within the 4 suits of 13 cards each. The whole deck vs the whole set of suits within.Skans » 16 minutes ago » wrote: ↑ No, not semantics. You don't understand the definition of semantics. Whole human species with 5 ancestral lineages within each having 5 generation gaps 24/7 never same reproductions again each adapting in series parallel time inhabiting space now.
Please keep insisting that isn't true and self evident to each brain proportionately alive choosing to pretend nobody can prove it in a court of law.
why would you think that when specific games won't include them in their regulations for anyone alive playing?

The PROBLEM? He is NEVER going to get access to Chinese markets because: A) Xi doesn't want the Chinese people to be consumers, because he wants to have total control of his people !... B) Xi Sees the WORLD thru a Socialist prism, he will build things and sell them to the world, so they can get rich, BUR will keep the people under his heel !... and C) IF Trump will not drop tariffs while they negotiate, there WILL BE trade (unless China will pay HUGE tariffs)... because Xi WILL NOT risk his people becoming "Westernized" !!
THAT will only change when Chinese Communism ENDS... and THAT will only happen when the "People" REBEL, and OVERTHROW Xi !
I don't see ANY other solution !!
SO, India will now take China;s place (to some extent)... because I STILL See Trump wanting to take back critical markets and technologies ! But China? WILL ONLY be a player again if Trump CAVES.. and I DO NOT see that happening? WHY WOULD HE? HE'S RIGHT...
America holds ALL the CARDS!!
WHY don't Democrats SEE that? ...HA!! WE ALL KNOW WHY... Because they don't WANT to ! THEY want to Impeach Trump, and have him STOP all these steps that "WILL MAKE America GREAT AGAIN !!"... because otherwise... THEY are TOAST !!
Just like China !!

Yeah well, at least @ConservativeWave had the balls to go out on a limb and make a prediction. Made for a good discussion; still does.LowIQTrash » 23 minutes ago » wrote: ↑ What about the fact the thread title is now completely discredited?

Why is it, your good discussions always leave reasonable doubt in charge of every debate between two sides a win for humanity over the other 4 degrees of separation in classic psychological class warfare working 24/7?Skans » 17 minutes ago » wrote: ↑ Yeah well, at least @ConservativeWave had the balls to go out on a limb and make a prediction.
