I broadened it out to "women" for a reason.  Wives expect Husbands to cater to them over Mother's Day Weekend. Doesn't matter if there's a kid around or not.

She realized 37 years ago I'm an asshole and not to expect too much. I've never wished her a happy mothers day, but I did take her out for breakfast.....same as I have every Sunday for the past five years or so.  
 

Does anybody buy Hallmark cards anymore. They are expensive as hell. Say one the other day, it was $8.00. Walmart, $1.50

Ya, the old lady tries every year to guilt me into "getting her something because I always get you something for dad's day..."

A- I never asked for anything...
