Diesel is a lower refined and very dirty fuel burns soot but somehow today Diesel Fuel more expensive than gasoline.

Back in the Day diesel fuel used be 20 cents cheaper so if gas was a buck per gallon Diesel Fuel $old like 75/80 cents per gallon.

Now back then GM tried make Diesel Cars but that was a Disaster the engines were garbage by end of 1980s General Motors had completely gave up on Diesel Cars

Now yes Diesel Fuel very dirty stuff creates Smoke and Soot.

But Regular 87 Unleaded Gas cannot Run Big Trucks or Hundred Car hopper Trains down the track in the same capacity neither

just don't mix up the DEF with the fuel tank.  That is one helluva repair bill.

The modern truck I have driven.

Its a blue cap behind ya diesel tank

Now back at Grain Elevator they had fuel pumps bought in "Bulk" a tanker come by once per week fill us up.

The DEF Fluid came in Jugs and Boxes hadda go 2 Shop and sign a paper my BOL # the Run and I took 2 Jugs of DEF Fluid outta the Shop.

Now Over The Road big chain Truckstops like Loves, T/A, and "Pee-Lot" just have DEF installed at pumps

kinda hard mix that up Diesel the big pump.

DEF at a Truckstop smaller than a gas pump on a big rig holds like 15/25 gallons separate blue cap right behind fuel tank.

At the Grain Elevator ya hadda pour ya own those heavy jugs outta the shop.

They had Diesel Pumps and tankers Delivered their underground tanks.

But when they got Newer Trucks from Leasing Company DEF FLUID was Pallets of boxes of just in the shop hadda sign 4 em too
 

I have not worked there over a "Decade" now so maybe nowadays they got DEF fluid the pump or atleast like "Birchwood Foods" a bulk container and electric pump pull by the shop top of your DEF Fluid before ya pull outta the yard

Tell ya something else in Trucking too the "Rules" is ya always fill up the Fuel Tanks before ya punch out go home.

Welp when I hadda "Slip Seat" was a Quarter Tank always.

I got "Pissed Off" started coming back with Orange Fuel Light warning on.

Got into a "Confrontation" with other Driver & Manager.

**** when I go ya empty Fuel Light.

Oh but on my way back I should stop at Truckstop fuel my Tanks full 2 brim.

Nah when ya start "Respecting" Me enough Full Fuel Tanks leaving the yard.

On my way back home stop at truckstop & fill my tanks too

I know ya like my moves too but I started training as a small child

My Dad and my Uncle drove cabovers back in the 1970s

I was a Hyper-Active child my own Momma could not Stand Me so my Dad in summer time school let out he took me out on the trucks with them.

Fed me well and I learned CB Radio code 

Now I was a kid got tired hadda sleep bit when we hit the Big City like New York Dad knew I wanted see it wake me up as we goimg jump in the seat.

Also hadda work too back then

I pumped the fuel showed me how read a tire guage and read side of tires psi.

Oil and in a Kenworth aint quarts like ya car a Big Truck needs afew gallons just a "Top Off"

I also hadda clean the winshield and windows too

Diesel fuel lasts so much longer in storage than gasoline.
Diesel is safer to store.
Diesel fuel has superior lubricity and rust inhibiting qualities
Diesel produces more power at less RPM..increasing the service life of your engine.
Diesel [in it's simplest form] requires no electronics...no ignition system.
Even though diesel costs more per gallon than gasoline it is a much better value.
