I have said for years that we, as humans, need the God thing because the truth is so beyond our comprehension it cannot be learned or grasped.
Calling it the "beginning" of the universe limits what even happened when trying to conceive the Big Bang.
Was that the beginning? Maybe not.

We are reduced to playing word games and imaginary numbers.
Example1: Infinity x infinity = infinity.
Example2: infinity ÷ 2 = infinity.

The guy in the vid talking to Rogan says "Expanding universe? Expanding into what? Like a balloon getting bigger in a room? What room?"
He misses the concept that expansion means everything is getting further apart. Not that the boundaries (if any) are growing.

When I go 2 "MEETINGS" try Sober Up myself.

They call that a "Higher Power".

In A/A if ya really wanna kick the booze ya Find the "Higher Power".

Right. People use the term God for lack of a better word. That doesn't automatically tie you to the weekly (or daily) rituals that are man-made constructs. If that stuff helps then by all means use them to help live a better life.

Bottom line is:
What stops you from doing what you know is bad for you or others when no one is looking?
Or helps you persevere when on the right path?
That is your higher power.

Call it your conscience, The Golden Rule, God, etc.
That label is actually insignificant to the bottom line.
