Veterans, I am curious.  I am told the Semi Automatic that is sometimes called an Assault Weapon is one of the most awesome killing machines around.  With that said how many of you were actually one as your personal weapon to use in combat?

Keep in mind Assault weapon is a made up term by the gunophobes.  They can't use Assault Rifle because that basically is defined as a lightweight, select fire automatic rifle that fires an intermediate cartridge.

Never been in combat, and I've never seen a semi-auto AR-15 in any armory either.

In the Army everyone is assigned a personal weapon which of course is in the arms room until needed for the field, training, range, etc.  For instance Aviation Crews and Tank Crews were assigned sidearms.  During my time it was either the 45, 38 or 9mm.  Most everyone else got the m 16 A-whatever. But I also have never seen a Semi Auto AR stye weapon in the Arms room,

Bear in mind, your reading skills are unusually poor.

The law in Maryland refers to "Assault Long rifle"..

We need something far more reliable than your narratives.

Looks like they just banned M 16s.  By definition Semi Auto Long Rifles are not Assault Rifles by definition.  Which has been posted numerous times in the past.

A couple things on that.  While I have been there I was not a Jarhead like your dear ol' dad.  And you have no tales to share about anything military.

Trying to take control, freak?

You didn't even know it was a category, and could distinguish it from a machine gun.

This article describes the many variations of the Colt AR-15 and M16 rifle family of weapons produced by Colt's Manufacturing Company. Weapons patterned on the original ArmaLite AR-15 design

What does the article describe?

How many families?

How many designs?

Vaya con huevos, perrito.

Your turn Cubicle ****** Boy:

I will take the L when you do the following:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_C ... ary_models

And the civilian models:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_C ... ian_models

Here is the challenge again:

Now, to end this.  Using the link I gave you years ago and you have misunderstood ever since, do the following.  If you answer correctly, showing you are wrong,  I will take Monday thru Friday off.  If you prove me wrong, I will take a month off.

1.  Post what list the AR 15 semi automatic sports rifle is listed in.  Military or civilian.

2.  Post the year range that the AR 15 Semi Auto sports rifle was standard issue in the military to infantryman.

If you answer honestly both questions I will take the 5 days off. If you show the dates the Sporter was standard issue for the military and that t is on the military list I will take the Month of Sep off.

******, prove dear old dad was wrong and you ain't a ******. Man up and answer you piece of ****.

Not a veteran of the Vietnam era (proudly)

but

The term Assault weapons was not a “made up term by the gunphobes”

It was how the AR was marketed by the gun manufacturers

It was a **** up on their part

The gun grabbers took the label and ran with it

During my time is it was different versions of the M 16, although I was a flight crew member and carried a sidearm most of my career.
