Liar!  In your first quote you said Assault weapon".  Then you tried to claim you said Assault Rifle. 

Also, I did look at the firearms in the lower right: 1) M16 - which is a machine gun; 2) AK47 which is a machine gun; 3) FN FAL - not possible to tell from the photo whether it is full auto or semi-auto; both variants were made.

The AR 15 Sporter was semi automatic and not designed for the battlefield.

Now comes the spin fro the Dum Dum.  That is because, because the rifles they applied that label to meant the definition of assault rifle.

And M 16 did not use clips so I spent no time toting them.  Try again.  I will add this to your greatest military hits like CV gas, the PK, and C5.

They didn't come up with assault rifle.  They came up withassault WEAPON because they could not call the weapon in question an assault rifle.
Next ups did not say they were marketed assault rifles.  You said they were marketed as assault WEAPONS.  I am going to bust your *** even further.

Keep in mind Assault weapon is a made up term by the gunophobes.  They can't use Assault Rifle because that basically is defined as a lightweight, select fire automatic rifle that fires an intermediate cartridge.

It certainly does answer the question.  The M 16 did not use clips to keep rounds into the chamber so I seen NOTIME toting them.
