It certainly does answer the question.  The M 16 did not use clips to keep rounds into the chamber so I seen NOTIME toting them.

Rewrite the question PROPERLY and I will answer.
I like this new rule...

How much of your service time involved carrying an M16 and live rounds...at the same time?

Note that by "carrying" I don't mean "transporting".

No, Tiny...the answer will be in the form of a number.

Read that again.

Cubicle ******, you question has been answered.  ZERO.

Now, if you are talking about an M 16 and fully loaded MAGAZINE ya stupid **** couldn't tell you the percentage.  You don't carry them to Piggly Wiggly or around post.  When in garrison the firearms are kept in the arms room.  Duh.  Who in the field you will have them.  The M 16 was m personal weapon for only 2 years of my service.  You should know this because you think you know my career.  I also posted my personal weapons yesterday.

I answered that above.

And I don[t give a **** what you mean, Cubicle ******.  The Sporter or any other semi automatic weapon was not a combat firearm.

Feel free to post an advertisement that shows either Armalite or Colt calling their semi auto rifles "Assault Rifles"

PS. I notice you are asking about the M 16.  Not the topic, which is Semi Automatic Weapons.  Kinda defeats your argument, Cubicle Boy.

LOL - "clips".  Image

I'm going to make a several suggestions. Especially if you want to continue discussing firearms with us.
  • Buy a semi-auto pistol or rifle.
  • Go to the range and shoot the crap out of it.
  • Find a gun show.  Go to it.  Don't be a dick. Don't touch people's guns without permission.  Try to learn something and humbly ask questions.
I bet you'd never do this.

M 16s don't have clips.  I will tell you every time I had to qualify with it I qualified expert.  Everytome.  Just as I qualified expert every time I qualified with any weapon.
This goes in the archive with the following:

He called C4 C5.

He said the PK was where soldiers go to buy food.

He called CS gas CV gas.

Keep in mind Assault weapon is a made up term by the gunophobes.  They can't use Assault Rifle because that basically is defined as a lightweight, select fire automatic rifle that fires an intermediate cartridge.
Not a veteran of the Vietnam era (proudly)

but

The term Assault weapons was not a “made up term by the gunphobes”

It was how the AR was marketed by the gun manufacturers

It was a **** up on their part

The gun grabbers took the label and ran with it

On your magazines and book where exactly does it say assault weapon?  It sas Assault Rifle because what they are talking about is real military assault rifles.

The topic of this thread is not Assault Rifles.  It is semi automatic rifles which are not military.  And yes, anti gun nuts came up with the term assault weapon.

Here is what you said and what we responded to, moron:

You can apologize at any time now.

Yes, the term Assault Weapon was made up by the anti gun crowd.

You posted about Assault Rifles.  Two different things.

You magazines about the type of weapon we were discussing before you got here.

The Colt AR 15 Sporter and those that followed was not an assault rifle and was not marketed as one.

No, they didn't.  We are talking about Assault Weapons.  You posted about Assault Rifles.  The weapons this thread is about are NOT select fire weapons.  Posted this earlier:

An assault rifle is defined as a selective-fire firearm that fires an intermediate-power cartridge and is capable of both semi-automatic and fully automatic fire. It typically uses a detachable magazine and is designed for military use. The term "assault rifle" is often used interchangeably with "assault weapon," but this is incorrect as "assault weapon" is a broader term that can include semi-automatic rifles

Now tell us what rifle is the subject of the OP?
