Not true. It's entirely impossible to surgically remove the fraudulent recipients from the legitimate ones. It has to be used as an  across board sledgehammer. What you don't see is the ripple affects. Many middle class jobs depend on Medicaid as contracts such as medical rehab facilities, pediatric offices, and many other businesses. When there is cross the board cut, they will not be paid.

As of now, Medicaid pays that. Which yes, is your tax dollars. However, Medicaid drives down costs of insurance premiums. So if Medicaid is cut, then you will have to pay higher premiums because hospitals still have to take care of these patients. The hospitals will drive up costs across the board to make up the lost revenue from Medicaid. Your insurance will pay that...which means you will pay more. The cost of our taxes on it is far less than what our insurance premiums will end up being.

Then you are subscribing to a FALSE NARRATIVE that fraud can't be discovered BEFORE payments are made.

So MAYBE you can explain HOW they find it AFTER payments are made?? And why deploying those SAME TECHNIQUES before payment won't work!!

people under a certain age have to work to get medicaid. 

my solution-- if they work increase the amount they can earn and still get medicaid, maybe by 100 a month, this would cover the expense needed for work.. gas, etc

some hospitals will shut down and even people with insurance can't get hospital visits including emergencies.

Medicare doesn't cover the cost of services and Medicaid covers even less.
