Defense definitely needs to be cut. It's unlikely they would because there is a lot of money for private corps to make in contracts.

Everyone should pay the same dollar amount...period. If I were king we would divide the national debt by the number of people who should be paying taxes, send out bills and start collection procedures. If you don't pay you give up benefits.

They don't ask how much you earn when you buy groceries or a car, do they? It costs what it costs. People need to start voting for a government that they can afford. You do that by making them pay their share. Too may people are paying nothing or next to nothing and while voting for more free stuff.

I'm sure it varies from state too state but I think they're only required to provide care in a true emergency...life threatening stuff. They don't have to stitch up a minor wound if you aren't in danger of bleeding out or kiss your sprained finger.. They just need to stabilize the patient. They are not required to act as a walk-in urgent care.

I always got a bill and had to pay it when I used an emergency room.
