Ten months ago we bought a 2022 Buick Enclave Avenir FWD/AWD with just under 10k miles. Paid $45k. Comfortable ride and quiet inside. Still has less than 14k miles. Around 20 mpg in town and 30ish on the highway.

Not that...I'm a VW guy. I need AWD and prefer a stick. I also prefer not to drive an SUV.

Always been a fan of the "estate wagon"...vw sold something called Alltrak...small wagon with awd and ground clearance. I haul dogs, skis, golf bags...

Stopped selling them in 2019...thought about buying the 2019 SEL with a manual. There were about 450 sold...the premium is unreal. About 4k over the autotranny....There are 40 people on the same nationwide search, too many with deeper pockets than mine. They can be easily modified to over 300 hp.

So now I'll take the auto, the SE, and should find one around 80k miles for 16-18....when the dog goes for the window, I won't have a seizure.

We had a 2006 Passat quite a while back, comfortable ride and plenty of scoot. A check engine light prompted a trade in for an Acura when the light went out. No comparison really, I liked the VW better.
