Here's why I hate squirrels:

• They take **** that doesn't belong to them.
• They are stupid creatures, but smart at taking **** that doesn't belong to them.
• And, then leave a dollop of squirrel **** just to let you know who did it.

Is this enough to impose a death sentence upon a squirrel?  Should I give it a trial first? Should I fire a shot over its head as a warning?  Will there be protests?

They are hard workers and don't expect us to provide for their basic survival needs. 
As a rule they don't carry rabies or any other deadly diseases.
OTOH...****** are lazy, they demand free stuff, special privileges plus they are carriers of many deadly diseases.

I have many oak trees and hickory trees. Most are 80-90 feet tall.
Deer hop my fence because of the acorn buffet every year.
My three dogs aren't out all the time so the woodland critters run amok.

The fox squirrels are not too much of a problem.
I think that's because there's plenty of natural food so their veggie garden raids aren't terrible.

It's those little chipmunks (striped ground squirrels) that dig under sidewalks and **** up gardens and ****.

I "got" 36 chipmunks one year. That slowed down chipmunk production for a couple years.

It was a brutal season. But they're back so I may have to go scorched earth on them again in a year or so.
I just get those near the house so I know it's only temporary.
Fox squirrels seem pretty benign by comparison so they get a pass even though there are herds of them.
Maybe it's "flocks" when they're in the trees.

They have tails. It's just not visible the way the little **** is posing for the picture.

They make great targets. Coyotes and birds need to eat too.

funny you should say that...around here we have gray squirrels, chubby schizophrenic tree rats that are a riot to watch...pint sized red squirrels about half their size running around terrorizing the grays like they're on meth, crack, speed and cocaine...about 40 miles north of here, the grays have cousins that are black...*GASPS* ....tougher neighborhood...
