This is a big win for people who actually pay net federal income taxes, Dems and Repubs both benefit.

The Medicaid portion remains unknown, don't really believe the hype so far. It was already difficult to get on Medicaid from my experience. The wife's parents ended up on it after burning through $500k for assisted living and eventually long term memory care. We provided over 250 pages of documentation to show where the money went for the previous 5 years when applying.

Sad but true!

The Dem angle that everyone's health insurance premiums will spike has people worried. Of course that same group thought Obamacare was going to save everyone money. That was a lie of course!

It actually is. Not by choice. Everything has a ripple effect. Kids growing up in a low income household with **** parents have a higher likelihood of going to prison. Who pays for that? Their crimes usually cost businesses money. That affects all of society.

The poor will get tax cuts, but what people are missing is that the poor will have necessary resources cut, such as food stamps, section 8 housing funds are being cut, cuts to social security, and public education funding. There are many more. These cuts will lead to a higher cost of living which will negate any benefits from their tax cuts. 

This is a perfect example of how phrasing words matter. They say that these programs are not being eliminated, therefore the criticisms are invalid. True, they are not being eliminated. However, their funding is being significantly decreased. That last part they don't want to talk about.

Red States are the bigger beneficiaries of Medicare.  Blue States do a better job of keeping folks healthy and employed.
 Red States will feel a more dramatic impact.

True poor folks don’t have an income to cut taxes on

I work with food pantries around here

cutting food stamps will increase the need for them

they already cut funding to help food pantries that are buying from local farmers 

So far, the USDA has cut more than $1 billion in assistance by ending two pandemic-era programs — $421 million for the Local Food Purchase Assistance Program, which enabled states to buy food from farmers and distribute it to groups that help communities in need, and $660 million for Local Food for Schools, which allowed states to buy food for schools and child care facilities. In addition, it halted $500 million in deliveries to food banks via the USDA’s Commodity Credit Corporation pending a review, the agency told CNN.

Its a wait and see for some

others have already seen

it is just not about work requirements which by themselves won't explode the national debt but not taxing billionaires.  I guess you lay at night wondering if bezos can pay for 50 million dollar parties.

however hospitals might close. and clinics which are cheaper than doctors offices and where people on medicaid go to.
