Solar and Wind are best and most effective at the individual and property owner level.

A guy who lives in a good climate with the money to afford setting up properly can actually get off the grid and in some states even get paid for supplying the grid.

Here in lies the problem.

The most "Practical" way of doing Solar or Wind cuts out "Big Energy" and The Utiliity Monopolies because it works best at the "Individual" property level and cuts them outta the picture and as I said earlier some places they pay property owners who generate more electricity than they use.

Wind and Solar on each individual property is not conducive to Big Power, Big Utillity , Operations which are based upon giant generating stations.

But not everywhere has the Ideal Climate or Sunlight but still part of the year ya might save on heating and electric but installation costs might outweigh the $avings and ya still got your electric utility fall back on.

We need find the "Compromise" inbetween the two

Compromise isn't a solution, it is a methodology to continue organized chaos day in and day out in the lives of each ancestor living now. All this orchestrated confusion is man made within the human species daily here. Promises for tomorrows made and secrets kept every generation gap forward.

One of the most fundamental results of good design in almost anything is compromise.

You want your new gadget to be light as a feather, strong as Superman, reliable as Old Faithful, simple to build, easy to fix, inexpensive or free, loved by all, etc.
Ain't gonna happen. Those are merely goals. Practical solutions require compromise.

That is the hallmark of good design: proper compromise.

One of the most amazing engines I've ever seen was the "Hit & Miss" type engine.
It was used to electrify rural USA in the early 1900s.
It turned a BIG flywheel and this allowed the engine to coast when electrical demand was low.
Centrifugal force operated valves and switches turned off the flow of fuel and the ignition circuit if the engine RPM was high enough and the engine would restart automatically once the RPM dropped below a certain level.
Back in the day these engines would have been very handy to power a water pump. Not so much for just washing your hands or flushing the toilet but to transfer water from your underground well to a large above ground holding tank...where gravity was used afterwards to provide the power for on demand needs.
In this video you can see the engine firing just ONCE every few seconds in order to maintain idle RPM.

The hidden cost of living in Greta's Utopia.

"Stand alone" solar power in the Great Caucasian North requires huge battery banks to supply your power after the sun goes down.
During the winter when the Sun rarely makes an appearance your batteries will die of starvation unless you expand the size of your solar array to something that costs as much as the house you live in.
You also need solar panels that are motorized to track the Sun across the sky from dawn to dusk.

OTOH....wind power can complement a solar system when the Sun isn't shining but living in a rural area with lots of wind has lots of disadvantages

Most homeowners put the solar panels on their home's roof.
Dozens of screws are used to secure the panels to the roof...obviously not a great idea
Well every 15 years or so when it comes time to replace your roof....you've got the added expense of working around the **** solar panels and repairing water damage that those dozens of roof piercing screws allowed to happen.

Wrong again, Space Gay.

You said "compromise is not a solution".
I replied showing that it is, without a doubt, a natural part of just about any solution.
Solutions are a give and take... the epitome of compromise.

Your verbose blatherings are intended to show how "right" you are.
You cannot accept others into your infantile, self righteous world view.
Good luck selling that ****. Seems damned progressive to me. :ninja:

I am down to earth ancestor without any supernatural talents. Just a brain that understands how I exist equally alive daily here. I comprehend why there needs to be intellectual governance on runaway faithful ignoring how they evolve naturally here since their ancestry conceived them to live a specific time adapting to the moment chromosomes never the same as any other ancestors including their own siblings, children forward.

Extinction happens when great great grandchildren stop replacing their previous 4 generation gaps assembling 93.75% their unique chromosomes at conception.

What is the one word separation point between natural perpetual motion and humans can never invent a perpetual motion technology? Evolving, or time, or now.

common since conception displaced every sole that existed ancestrally here since inception of ancestral lineages so far. Actual results here now.

My father had one of these type motors in his garage.
It had a foot pedal to kick start. There was a Maytag logo on it.
Imagine a washing machine with a hit and miss running it.
The motor would run on anything flammable it seemed.

We played with it many times. Since it had no muffler it popped smoke rings out about 20 feet or so.
Still wasn't all that loud though.

Tesla was going to make an antenna that could absorb quantum flucutations and we could plug our microwaves into.

Henry Ford wanted to go to Hemp Based Ethanol and cars a hundred years ago..   Trying to make up for killing trains. The Fossil Fuel Czars said no phooking way.  There was just too much enterprise in wells and refinement to lose.

Hearst had made wood pulp paper mills for his newsprint. Someone told him hemp was cheaper to grow and process. Instantly it became The Devil's Weed and Prohibition came into force in 1937..

They could make light bulbs that never fail.. but there is no profit in that and they conspired to make them have an agreed upon life time. The transition to LED's has saved tons of energy generation.

Our refrigeration systems use sustainable Carbon Dioxide as a medium.. There are some now that use water.  Not only do our systems help the environment and keep PFAS and other poisons out of the mix.. they are efficient and reduce energy usage by ~25% most of the time. These are tiny pieces in the sustainable future puzzle.

There are solutions to our energy needs. But the greed directs us to bad choices.  Drill Baby Drill, Burn Baby Burn is gonna fry this planet like an egg on drugs in a pan.

intellectual minds inventing political science might catch up to what my brain has figured out resisting psychological reasonable doubt.

Without chromosomes adapting as ancestrally here happened to be recorded and used against every great great grandchild forward so far, context in every language between ancestral lineages would have never been invented as the means to control the environment limited to perpetual balancing outcomes where life is never fair, just balancing out between everything inhabiting space now. periodic elements and organic compounding continuation of what exists exists the same way never same results twice.

Series parallel time as used in logistics to navigate space individually here among everything else universally present perpetually balancing one cycle of life at a time currently located in plain sight or what ever senses of singularity each reproduction has navigating everything else outside its location.

Evolving is an ever changing circumstance per individual heartbeat beating forward here in this isolating atmosphere from the rest of the universe existing same way evolving happens per ancestor in the entire food chain.

Stupid is as Stupid Does Gump.

What is your phooking point of all the word salad?

You kind of have a digital stutter yourself and can't escape the box we are in either. So please, try to get a little more closer to reality.. whatever that is..  We do seem to be engaged in a debate of what the definition of the word "Is" is..  We all go from cradle to box after 80 or so years of living in one, which is our own personal eternity.
