Our country has been disguising our young as "growing up faster these days" for a long time.
As of late, we started treating them as small adults.
At the same time, we stopped respecting actual adults (elders) while "60 is the new 40".
Children are adults and adults aren't old. Weird? Weird...

What comeuppance is in store? Is the USA actually unique?
If this a trend for all of mankind then this isn't our ruination. The world is just a modern mess.
