I would not be at all surprised if tommorow the Coupkrainian military - such as it is, undersupplied and with no complete units and with half the troops being foreign mercs and the other half kidnap victims who were bullied to the front - simply folded up and quit. I will absolutely be surprised if the Coupkrainian military is east of the Dnieper by Christmas, and in supply. Morale is in the terlet.
The reason the press isn't yakking anymore is that the news is very, very different than what the west wants it to be. There is no good news at all, in any area. Nothing to hype. It's so bad that it can no longer be massaged. The Russians have encircled and are taking Pokrovsk. All of the significant prizes to date which the Coupkrainians have sacrificed massive numbers to defend-to-the-end were important stepping stones on the way to Pokrovsk.
Pokrovsk is the key to everything east of the Dnieper. Without Pokrovsk, the theater is split for Coupkraine, with the northern forces isolated from the southern and with neither able to reinforce the other. And for both, supply is critically - one could even say fatally - affected. I look for mass retreats in the next two weeks, with the Coupkrainians attempting to regroup in supply and in a defensible position.
The west bank of the Dnieper leaps to mind... and nothing else does...
Mind you, my military experience happened in the woods behind my house before I had hair down there - back when I DIDN'T identify with the nazis. But I have better sources than the fruitcakes on this board...

I would agree that Coupkraine is an "attacked country" - but not by Russia. Coupkraine was murdering ethnic Russians wholesale in the eastern Oblasts and broke every promise made at Minsk 1 and Minsk 2. Coupkraine - in violation of its Constitution, which mandates neutrality ala Switzerland - was trying to join NATO and park enemy missiles on Russia's border and give Russia's deepwater port in Crimea to NATO. And NATO is not an enemy of Russia because RUSSIA says so. It's because THEY say so. They demand it. Russia MUST be the enemy, because without an enemy, NATO has no Raison d'etre.
The west has tried for many centuries to loot and plunder Russia, and it has failed every time in a brutal war of attrition. This time is no different - except that Russia is ahistorically agile in its current incarnation, thanks to a great leader in Vladimir Putin, whom Mother Russia forged for the day. For me, the only thing better than watching NATO eat Putin's **** is watching it while I am munching on popcorn.

And yes Ukraine old "Soviet" kinda country they got more to gain by making nice with Russia.

Here's what is happening now. The same EU that has been sucking Zelensky's dick for all these years is now turning on him like mad dogs. They were about to use two "independent" (EU-controlled) State agencies to expose Zelensky as corrupt. Of course, these same EU nations' leaders have been personally enriched by that corruption - so they would know.
Zelensky is a very clever man, and he knows exactly how they operate. So he takes away the "independence" of these two commissions and he vests their power in his top prosecutor - a man who is elected by KIDDING! A fellow he appoints and who serves at his pleasure.
This blocks the EU from using those agencies to unseat Zelensky - who is about to be gone.
So the EU goes to Plan B, which is using their agitators and agents inside Coupkraine to foment "spontaneous" skreet riots. And the EU IMMEDIATELY and unequivocably takes the side of the rioters.
I don't give Zelensky more than a week. I doubt he has three days.
