Cracking down on thieves and vandals would help, too.
That stuff used to be against the law.
A guy that had to work to get that big TV won't be on the side of the asshole who just stole one from a store.
Like illegals coming in for free. The people that put in the effort to enter legally aren't siding with fence hoppers.

Need to have some skin in the game.

America's poor need to learn how to live like poor people....it would give them an incentive to better themselves...

Its the housing and necessities that kill ya today.

Im grateful my folks left me this house all paid for when they died but groceries, insurance, and medicine still take their toll forgot about property tax as the value this old place keeps increasing I may have to sell it one day find senior housing if it gets too bad

People are entitled to what their families leave or give them government should stay out of it completely

It's up to the individual to plan and work to keep it....good luck in that endeavor

When its sold I have pay capital gains tax but as long as I keep living here I owe none

The low-hanging fruit will get picked off eventually.

Add a $100 bounty for taking out a gangmember. Sweeten the pot a bit.

Maybe a thumb for $50. A pair of anything gets you a hundred.

I don't have much of a problem with that if **** at the scene is confusing.

You are entitled to a one time $250,000 exclusion for a single person selling your primary residence.

$500,000 for a couple, we used it. Still paid capital gains tax but it was nice break on the $500k.

I can keep the place for now but someday when I get older wont shovel snow and do yardwork or if property taxes double might look into senior housing ...

But for right now I can manage it and plan staying here until then
