Biden did that too. For completely different reasons though.
No, not for different reasons. Both are dottering, out-of-their mind clowns.

Trump is Gladys Kravitz. But hiding the Epstein files and talking about pardoning child-rapists.

Speak for yourself. I voted for him hoping that he would be the adult in the room, not the tantrum-ing toddler. We don't want people to fear America - we want them to respect America.

If you fear someone - and by you I mean YOU, - you will be very cautious of them and try to deal with them as little as possible. If you RESPECT someone, you are looking for reasons to deal with them.

So, please - that narrative has no wings, unless they are connected to a menstrual pad designed to hide the blood. That narrative is precisly the opposite of reality. An unhinged, utterly unpredictable ***-clown president that changes his program like he's changing underwear is NOT what we were promised and NOT what we voted for and NOT something the rest of the world is keen to make deals with.

What deals has that mouthy orange *** made, besides the gunpoiint deal he made at the expense of our vassals in Europe? He has blown up our trade relations with India and China, FFS. A protectionist tariff program - that, I voted for. But a raving lunatic who doesn't even sit down with people before threatening them? That is not how lasting deals are made.

He is on a crusade to convince the planet that the US cannot be counted on to keep its word.

Iran will simply give more to the houthis, you dummy. The fact that they cannot beat us in the conventional war your favorite *** started and that you double dog dare 'em to declare does NOT mean they cede the right to respond to israel's slave-state in asymetric ways.

If and when they decide to pull off an act of terror against the US, they have their justification. And be clear - state terror is a means of making war. You should understand this, since your has country has fielded ISIS and kurds and al qaieda and contras and other terrorists.

TRUMP has nothing to worry about He did the right thing.

“presidents of both parties have operated for decades under a Justice Department framework that ‘reflects not only the express assignment of powers and responsibilities to the President and Congress in the Constitution, but also . . . the ‘historical gloss’ placed on the Constitution by two centuries of practice.’ It has thus long been the position of the DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel that history has ratified unilateral presidential deployments of military force as long as (1) the deployment serves ‘sufficiently important national interests,’ as judged by the President, and (2) the deployment does not portend a ‘prolonged and substantial military engagement, typically involving exposure of U.S. military personnel to significant risk over a substantial period.’ Trump’s letter to Congress reporting on the bombing relies on this framework.”

Seeking to claw back some of its power, Congress passed the War Powers Resolution in 1973 on a bipartisan basis, and over the veto of then-President Richard Nixon. As the Congressional Research Service explains, the War Powers Resolution requires presidents within 48 hours “to report to Congress any introduction of U.S. forces into hostilities or imminent hostilities.”

Rounds says Trump notified congressional leaders of strikes ‘well within’ 48-hour window

Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) said on Sunday that President Trump notified Congress of the strikes on Iranian nuclear sites “well within” the 48-hour window defined by the War Powers Resolution. In an interview on NewsNation’s “The Hill Sunday,” Rounds pushed back against critics who say the president acted outside his constitutional authority by ordering strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites, including Fordow. “The Constitution clearly gives the President the authority to act on our nation’s behalf,” Rounds said.

"Second of all, the War Powers Act, which is in place, was responded to appropriately. They were supposed to notify congressional leaders within 48 hours. They were well within that range of notifying them of the actions [that] were taken, so the law has been complied with. The Constitution is being complied with,” Rounds continued.

I'm sure of it. What that duress IS, neither of us can say. But there's a good bit of smoke - decades-long friendships with diddy and epstein, ownership of and inappropriate activity within the miss teen america contest, trial balloons about pardoning diddy and maxwell - which suggests that the fire that his feet are being held to has something to do with video tape.

We have been highly respected for all of the last century. We are not the world's reserve currency in a vacuum.

We are still respected. But the respect is waning fast, leaving only fear. And fear is unattractive. It is the opposite of attractive.

Nations did not have to like us to respect us.

Even you said the dollar is dead because the petro dollar is no more.
The main reason the world switched from British pounds to dollars was the Brits were going broke from WWI.
It's not so much respect as it is by default that we retain the status of world reserve currency.

But don't get me wrong. I want the US to be respected for good reasons.
Sort of "loved by friends and feared by enemies" kind of thing. Both are necessary with regards to respect.

The dollar has not been replaced as the world reserve currency. It has merely been abandoned in the matter of oil purchases - which is huge, but not quite the cause of a funeral. The dollar is STILL the world reserve currency. 54% of all global trade is still done in dollars. That is down from 71% in 2000. The trajectory isn't pretty. But no currency has replaced the dollar, and more than half of global trade is still done in dollars.

We got that status out of respect. We are rapidly losing that respect, specifically because our word means ****, we've abused the honor, and we are in the "clown show" phase of empire.Much as the brits were when they lost the honor. Just so ya know, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands and France have also held the honor in the past.

Dropping bombs for israel, threatening to steal land from allies, sky-screaming about tariffing the moon, floating trial balloons about pardoning maxwell and diddy, prolonging the proxy war in Coupkraine by pretending he is too stupid to get Putin's perfectly reasonable and necessary red lines - the verdict is IN, in Pointerville. Just for the record, Trump actually COULD end that war in a matter of weeks - could end the combat in a matter of days. Russia isn't demanding anything it doesn't have every right to - and the demonstrable power to cause through more unnecessary bleeding (thanks to Trump).

It wants every inch of ground - sorry, centimeter - that it has bled upon, it wants Coupkraine's Constitutional mandate of military neutrality restored (as do ALL sane people desire a neutral between opposing nuclear factions duh), and it wants Coupkrain returned to a demilitarized condition - that is, a defensive military and not an offensive one. And mind you, BEFORE russians bled upon that land, Russia's government demanded none of it - save Crimea, which was already Russian soil under international law by the authority of its citizens through plebescite as determined by the precedent of the international court in the case of Kosovo.

In your NATO can't dance thread, I posted in a vid with an interesting point:
Ukraine (as with any nation) must have settled its border conflicts before admission into NATO.
Ergo, it's in Putin's interest to NOT let the conflict subside.
