This s where they are running and sounding stupid talking about knife fights.  One guy said bring a knife to a knife fight.  another said bring a butter knife to a knife fight.

The **** idiots could't get the saying right.  And I recall that just a few years ago the left considered that kinda talk inciting violence.

Statisticians and political scientists have developed a variety of ways to try to quantify the partisan advantage that may be attributable to gerrymandering.Republicans, who control redistricting in more states than Democrats, used the 2010 census data to create a strong gerrymander. An Associated Press analysis of that decade’s redistricting found that Republicans enjoyed a greater political advantage in more states than either party had in the past 50 years

The voting base can overcome gerrymandering. When I was growing up, Texas was deep blue. Dems routinely gerrymandered things in an attempt to retain power. Over time, the general population of voters became more conservative. The result is republican control of the House, Senate and Governor's Mansion for more than two decades.

Based on information from the U.S. Census Bureau and related sources, the decennial census is designed to count every resident in the United States, regardless of legal status. This includes citizens, non-citizen legal residents, temporary migrants like students, humanitarian migrants like refugees, and unauthorized migrants. The Census Bureau does not ask about a person's legal status directly.

The republicans are fearing the midterms

tRump is doing **** that even pisses off his base

That’s what this is all about

Why else would they draw new districts 5 years after the census?

AI Overview

In the United States, the redrawing of district lines, also known as redistricting, typically occurs every 10 years following the completion of the U.S. Census. This process ensures that each district has a roughly equal number of voters, reflecting population shifts that occur over the decade
