I am hearing a lot of crying and whining from college grads and even professionals about how AI is taking over tasks. Some tech grads can't find jobs because their degree is now outdated. Even programming. Who would have thought that programming would be outdated?
My response: So?
With the advancements of technology comes new jobs. Out with the old and in with the new. The internet was a new enigma. Most people didn't know what the hell to do with it. It eliminated jobs such as newspaper companies, some postal jobs since email was more efficient, library clerks, media distributers, even travel agents since everything can be booked online. What was created? Network engineers, cybersecurity specialists, cloud architects, web developers, and SEO specialists.
Out with the old and in with the new.
AI will be no different. College students need to keep this in mind. They should abandon the outdated degrees and study what the tech world trending toward...AI.
Suck it buttercups. It's going to be a great ride....or we might all die. I don't know. Either way, I think AI is fantastic.
