This case, which came to light in 2007 and was reported in  no spam , involved a 44-year-old man who sought medical attention for a mild leg weakness. Doctors were astonished to find that his skull was mostly filled with cerebrospinal fluid, a condition called hydrocephalus, which had slowly destroyed much of his brain tissue over decades. Despite having only about 10% of his brain remaining, he continued to function normally, holding a government job, raising a family, and maintaining social competence. His IQ was measured to be 84, slightly below the average range but not considered mentally impaired.

In October 2023, the value of the US dollar, as measured by the US Dollar Index (DXY), experienced fluctuations. The dollar index had previously reached an almost one-year high earlier in October before dipping to a one-month low of 105.35.

As of August 14, 2025, the US Dollar Index (DXY) value is around 98.1863, representing a 0.35% increase from the previous session. While it has weakened over the past month and year, its all-time high was 164.72 in February 1985.
