Is the Toyota Prius an Electric Car? ExplainedCar Bibles By Jennifer Haroon June 23, 2025

The Toyota Prius, specifically, is classified as a **parallel hybrid**. This means that the gasoline engine and electric motor can work independently or together to power the wheels. The Prius’s hybrid system consists of several key components:

1. Gasoline Engine
The Prius is equipped with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that generates a modest amount of power. This engine primarily functions at higher speeds and during acceleration, providing the necessary thrust for the vehicle.

2. Electric Motor
The electric motor in the Prius plays a crucial role in both starting the vehicle and assisting the gasoline engine during acceleration. It can also power the wheels independently at low speeds, allowing for short periods of electric-only driving.

No.

It's not anything that has meaning since we don't elect a President based on popular vote.

Unless you have some point to make, you can forget me doing any of the work for you. If you want post "vote margin" feel free. But again, it's a pointless metric.

NO PRESIDENT has ever been elected based on that.

So what IS your point?? Other than you lost both popular, Electoral college, and ALL 7 swing states.

What do you have beside nothing??

Speaking to a U.S.-Saudi investment conference in Riyadh on May 13, President Donald Trump enunciated what might be called the Trump doctrine of noninterference in other nations’ internal affairs. He denounced “Western interventionalists” who give foreign leaders “lectures on how to live and how to govern your own affairs.” By contrast, he said, “I believe it is God’s job to sit in judgment; my job, to defend America.”...

One can also detect the policy in the State Department’s recently released human rights reports on Trump’s authoritarian allies. Incredibly enough, the report on El Salvador claims “there were no credible reports of significant human rights abuses” in 2024. That’s quite a contrast to the findings of independent monitors such as Human Rights Watch, which reports that the regime of Nayib Bukele has engaged in “arbitrary arrests, enforced disappearances, and torture and other ill-treatment of detainees.”....

But the State Department’s “see no evil” approach shifts dramatically when it is describing democratic countries whose leaders are at odds with Trump. The report on Brazil — which is putting on trial a Trump ally, former president Jair Bolsonaro, on charges of trying to overturn an election — criticizes that country for “significant human rights issues,” such as “broad and disproportionate action to undermine freedom of speech.” Thus, in Trump’s Orwellian logic, Brazil’s attempts to defend democracy become an attack on democracy. Trump has backed up his disapprobation of Brazil’s legal system by imposing 50 percent tariffs on the country.

1. Your next move will be to claim that you answered it by giving your definition, to which I replied that isn't the question...etc...etc...blah...blah...blah...
2. You will also say that you answered through your non-answers.

Deal: If Veghead can prove that he answered the survivorship multiple choice question, as the question is written and asked, along with his defense of his answer, then I will agree to never come back for as long as I live. If he cannot, then he is out of here for a month. Additionally, his defense cannot be "Because it fits my definition." That is a claim, not a defense. He is to defend why.

Exception: I will allow for an exception. If he loses, then I will allow him to stay if he answers it the way it is asked, along with his defense. However, he must do it immediately after the deal has been decided. Not 100 posts later. The very next post of his must be his answer/defense.

We were discussing here at home the subject of drag queens in elementary school. I tend to agree that parents have a right to provide consent for the content of the education their children are exposed to.  I am recalling how the PE teacher taught us in sex ed what a dick is in 3rd grade and that it is ok and normal to do the whackadoodle. I din't think it was until the 5th grade they taught us what a vagina was and how the opertion works. Mrs was not on board with any helicopter educational surveillance.

Evidently, a troublesome male teacher told a kid (5th grade) in our circle (who is a little bold) to "Suck My Apples" in class.  The Mom is going to make a complaint, and evidently she is not the first about the dude.
