Russian drone hits in Poland
Recent reports indicate a Russian drone crashed and exploded in eastern Poland on August 20, 2025
. The incident occurred in a cornfield near the village of Osiny, about 60 miles from the border with Ukraine. Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz identified the drone as Russian and called the incident a "provocation," especially significant as peace talks on the war in Ukraine are ongoing. The explosion damaged windows in nearby houses, but no injuries were reported. 
Polish officials suggested the drone was likely a Russian version of the Iranian-designed Shahed drone,  no spam . Some evidence suggests it may have been a decoy drone designed to self-destruct, possibly with a Chinese-made engine. Another theory, put forward by a local prosecutor, suggests the drone could have originated from Belarus, a close ally of Russia.

I did operate a small turbo jet engine on a test stand once. Never flew one... Saw one in an RC plane a few times.. Way too fast for me to try now without some assistance.. I doubt I have the controller skills.. I am seeing youtubes where people strap the engines to their boots and go.. airborne! I think they are fake.. But some of the personal flying machines coming out are incredible technology.

One of the biggest hurdles for tech if we are going to build America again is castings..   We have encouraged farming it out for a long time.  It does have a significant local environmental impact.. And I don't think anyone is ever gonna melt steel with Sun Power anytime soon. If the tariffs on castings could be reduced it may help a lot of people. I know it would help our enterprise in the small town.  Very long involved conversation, and could be used for insider trading.  I am loyal to the CEO.  The guy is super cool. But he may end up having to close the curtains for us.  I think we are running out of airtime.  Everything is being built elsewhere..  Not enough American Business to go around for corporate assets on  CONUS.. Nothing coming in from Outside US.
