There are a few reasons that have been attributed to it. Tariffs and the immigration policy mostly. Most of the revenue came from middle class families. Not the high rollers. They can't depend on high rollers and the rich to keep the casinos here afloat. They are going to need to do something to attract the families again.

The tariffs are being blamed because prices are higher. The middle class cannot afford to come to Vegas and have a good time. There is a hotel here that charges $18 for a bottle of water. I **** you not.

The immigration policy is being blamed because people are afraid that there has been a lot of policy changes in the hotel/casinos. Some may feel that they are not welcomed. There are a boat load of immigrants who work in casinos. The housekeepers, floor assistants, laundry, etc...People may be afraid that there are major shake-ups happening, so they don't want to come.

I agree tourism is down and they deserve it. But, the strip is not a ghost town. They have gouged people too much and now they will have to pull back.

You are ignorant. $18 for a beer, $30 cocktails. $30 hamburgers. $75 resort fees, and they still want you to tip 20% plus.

Hmm, might need to make a trip, reasonable prices.

What is the $400 deal at Circa hotel?
For only $400, enjoy an all-inclusive 2-night stay, featuring some of Circa's most notable activities with resort fees and taxes all included

You BakeYa!

I flew small fixed wing unmanned aircraft in mountain  desert 40 miles north of Vegas.  Spooks on the other side of the valley looked for us.

It was fun being the target.   Casino last night. Hangover almost missed 6AM flight.

I have significant  southwest experience.   Bahrain was phooking hell.

That's only one cyclone in a perfect storm, I've heard it rumored.

I'm told Cali is summoning its people home, forcing them to pay income taxes in cali if their paycheck comes from there.

But I did not quite understand why that would force them to come back. Have you heard anything about this?

Took a look

AI Overview

When you live in Texas but work in California, you will need to file an income tax return in California for the income you earn there, but you will not owe any state income tax to Texas
. This is because Texas does not have a state income tax, while California taxes all income sourced within its borders, regardless of the employee's state of residency

Hell, that law is 90 years old. Do you know of any new thing they are doing to bully people who sold their homes and fled to Vegas?
