During a closed-door gathering Wednesday of top executives that was organized by the Yale School of Management, attendees were asked if they planned to invest more in U.S. manufacturing and infrastructure—and 62% said no.

Yale management professor Jeffrey Sonnenfeld told the Wall Street Journal that tariffs, immigration crackdown and economic worries have eroded their confidence about making new investments.

Remember when Tim Cook went to the WH to pledge 600B over the next 4 years, and it turned out Apple's annual cash flow was around 100B? 

And the MAGATs here and elsewhere declared that some kind of overwhelming victory - because MAGATs cannot understand that


1) a conservative megacap like Apple is almost certainly not going to go into debt to finance "new investment" when their revenue is already stagnant (a very basic business economics concept)

2) they believe everything coming out of the Orange Sphincter's mouth

I wouldn't get all giddy about that.  That district hasn't had a Repub Congress critter since 2006 and has voted straight dem, with the exception of 09, every year since 2008.  It is northern VA, a burb of DC.

All this did was replace one Dem with another.  You should do some research next time.
