SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT) -Three people are dead and eight others are injured after a shooting at the Southport Yacht Basin.The City of Southport posted an emergency notice on social media shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27.The City of Southport spokesperson stated that three people were killed when someone opened fire at the basin Saturday night. The current conditions of the eight other people who were injured are unknown.According to the spokesperson, a person of interest is being questioned.
