I fact checked that this negro went to the Supreme Court of that day and won the right to keep a man slave FOR LIFE, rather than a term of indenturement. 

John Casor was his indentured servant. He satisfied the Court that Casor was a lazy **** who had failed to fulfill his duties during his time of indentured servitude, and the remedy was that he owned Casor for life. This was first time that slavery for life, as opposed to a set term, ever appears in American law.
