Governor Tim Walz is not directly related to Minnesota State Senator Omar Fateh or New York politician Zohran Mamdani, despite recent political and media coverage drawing connections between them. The links are generally political and ideological rather than familial.

Connections through Omar Fateh

Political endorsements and alliances: The most significant and direct link is political, revolving around Minnesota's upcoming elections.
In October 2025, U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar endorsed Omar Fateh in the Minneapolis mayoral race.

This endorsement is noteworthy because Omar and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey—who is endorsed by Tim Walz—have a longstanding political rivalry.
Ideological divides: The rivalries reflect deep ideological and political rifts within Minnesota's Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) party.

Fateh and Omar represent a more progressive wing that supported calls for police reform following the 2020 murder of George Floyd. For example, Fateh backed a 2021 ballot measure to replace the Minneapolis Police Department, which Frey opposed.

Walz and Frey are considered more moderate Democrats

Is @roadkill   retarded?

The only relation Walz and Mamdami share is a dislike for a facist authoratarian regime in the US.

Mamdami is a bit too radical, and appears as another all talk no action potential leader. He appears to not be forthright in his discussion, there is an air of mistrust in his policy for me. But young people like the speech.

I could get behind Walz 2028 if there is an election.  MAGAdeath will result if the polls ever open.

Virginia is going total blue in three weeks.  It will be a bell weather for the end of The Cult of Mass Insanity
