One of the Democrats the other day said (regarding the shut down government)... that they "need to go low"... and then said that they would go into the gutter if they had to, in order to defeat Trump ? THAT'S pretty PATHETIC !!
I'm thinking that Donald Trump, and the Republicans, have done everything they have been able to open the Government, BUT, If the Democrats are willing to DESTROY the NATION, by keeping the Government CLOSED unless they get EXACTLY what they want (which includes ELIMINATING MANY of the issues Trump has already won on)? SO... It MIGHT be time to GIVE the Democrats EXACTLY what they wanted a couple years ago... but NOW, at EXACTLY the wrong time (for them)... and PASS the Nuclear Option (to eliminate the "super majority" requirement in the Senate)...
Republicans have FOUGHT the Democrats LONG & HARD to KEEP it, and I'M SURE, they are NOT all that keen on repealing it now... BUT, the Democrats look to be willing to STRANGLE the Government, in order to NOT LET Trump win... and if the ONLY two options that the Democrats are giving us is: 1) TOTAL SUCCESS, or 2) TOTALLY DESTROYING the U.S. Economy... so they can FINALLY say they BEAT Trump?
I'll take TOTAL SUCCESS (maybe with some provisions and circumstances that need to be met)... LIKE, an IMPASSE created by COMPLETELY CRAZY Political (Democrat) Party, HELL BENT on Destroying the NATION, in order NOT to lose AGAIN to a President, who TOTALLY wants to make America GREAT again !!
THEN... LET the Democrats CHEW on THAT for a while !

THEY are more an amalgamation of Totalitarian Marxists, Socialists, Communists, and Globalists… who are BENT on TAKING, and then KEEPING power... & where ultimately the American PEOPLE will have NO SAY AT ALL in how we are GOVERNED... and our "Democracy" will be DEAD!!

Democrats want to DESTROY the American economy, to PUNISH Donald Trump, for ENDING their FREE FOR ALL, of CORRUPTION, ABUSE of POWER, LIES, DECEIT, THEFT, and DEBAUCHERY... SO, Republicans need to stop them...
Donald Trump needs to start laying the groundwork, and tell the American people HE WILL NOT let the Democrats DESTROY the American economy, as part of a Vendetta against Trumps EVISCERATION of Democrat Party CORRUPTION... and request Republicans remove the "Super Majority Requirement" in the senate (at least for a time)... SO that the economy can be RE-OPENED, a NEW Budget be approved, and the Groundwork for a NEW, CLEAN, and Democrat corruption FREE economy to be put into place !
It would be good to, at some point, to maybe RE-IMPLEMENT the super majority requirement... BUT CURRENTLY, Democrats have come TOO CLOSE to DESTROYING America, and it needs to be CORRECTED ASAP... WE NEED to Make America GREAT Again !!

AT THAT POINT, Republicans can pass Budget Bills with simple majorities in BOTH the house and Senate...
I DON'T think the Republicans REALLY want to do it, and have FOUGHT against it time after time when Democrats wanted to JAM THEIR spending bills thru congress in the past... BUT, if the Government stays SHUT DOWN, and American PEOPLE BEGIN TO DEMAND ACTION, and the Democrats continue to hold the country HOSTAGE... Republican will REALIZE, what they HAVE to do !!
BUT, in the meantime.. BECAUSE of the SHUT DOWN... Donald Trump can STILL cut ALL the Democrat pet Projects & Programs, ALL the Wasteful spending wherever it's found, and DOWNSIZE the ENTIRE BUREAUCRACY... BECAUSE of the shut down !!

Its simple... LET the Democrats CONTINUE to play their game... BUT, WHEN things start to get REALLY BAD for the American people who are affected by the Democrat instigated Government "SHUT DOWN"... END the Super Majority Senate requirement ( i.e. 51 votes to pass a budget... but maybe, only temporarily ), and LAY the blame EXACTLY where it's belongs... at the Feet of the CORRUPT Communist, Marxist, Socialist, Democrat Party !!

Republican have TRIED to maintain a super majority because it promotes cooperation and compromise... but, with THIS Communist, Marxist, Socialist, Democrat Party... "cooperation" and "compromise" is IMPOSSIBLE !!

YEP... just saw this, and it looks like, as I predicted, Trump is starting to also think about ending the filibuster... at least to open the Government and END the Democrat caused FIASCO !!... and then ??
That said, I would expect that this is only the NEXT phase of Trumps plan to PRESSURE the Democrats... AS OF TODAY... most Republican are still against ending the filibuster (as they SHOULD BE... because it's NOT OPTIMAL)... HOWEVER, as this "Shut Down" grinds on, Americans are going to get more and more anxious, and tired, and THIS may eventually be the BEST option available Republicans (and it would have been FORCED on Republicans BY Democrats)!!
America is NOT going to want the Government shut down forever... AND, Democrats are on the verge of being DESTROYED anyway, SO they might see this as their ONLY OPTION (to let the shut down run), and THEY be willing to DESTROY America in the process as a result... THEREFORE... REPUBLICANS need a Plan B... and I believe THIS is IT !!
At the RIGHT time, IF the Democrats don't back down, the filibuster will need to be ended, and then the extension can be passed, a NEW budget can be then subsequently passed... and a LAUNDRY LIST of other PRO Conservative actions can ALSO be quickly passed.. THEN, if it makes sense, the filibuster could then be re-enacted (if desired)... BUT..
IF the Democrats EVER get back into power... and they have the ability... YOU KNOW, THE FIRST thing they will do is END the filibuster, and try to RE-IMPOSE the RADICAL Liberal SOCIALIST State, and REBUILD their Weaponized Government, ALL OVER AGAIN... THEY have DONE IT ONCE, and WILL DO IT AGAIN, if they get the chance... a MUCH better approach for Republicans would be to BEAT them to the punch, and pass Legislation that will make the kinds of Government OVER REACH, and WEAPONIZATION, that they tried to do once...
