Similar to Trump, Mamdani's circumstances were straightforward: wholly committed to improving affordability for working-class Americans — and then sincerely deliver on this promise while serving in office.
Mamdani has consistently been a focal point of national attention — and the discussion regarding whether his unabashedly progressive agenda can act as a model for Democrats in other regions will undoubtedly escalate now that New Yorkers have selected him to govern the largest city in America. Will the Democrats get back in touch with the party’s working-class roots by championing policies that strengthens democracy and shares the wealth?
I sincerely hope Trump makes good on his MAGA promise.
